Lodha Ventures Foundation: Safety First. Always!

Updated: Apr 7, 2023

LVF is organising medical check-ups, and first-aid and safety training for workers at HoABL sites

Profit is nothing without corporate social responsibility. And, CSR can be very hard for employees to relate to if we don't make it tangible to their everyday working lives. This is why Ms Sheetal Lodha-led Lodha Ventures Foundations, has been conducting free health camps for maintaining the health and well-being of the workers at The House of Abhinandan Lodha’s project sites.

As part of an ongoing welfare program, regular medical check-ups and over 20 referral camps have been organised for on-site workers and their families. This would not be possible without giving basic first-aid trainings to these workers. To support the same, two such trainings were conducted for labour representatives to ensure no worker is left alone in time of need.

CSR isn't a particular programme, it's what we do every day, maximising positive impact and minimising negative impact. At our project sites, we ensure there exist no unsafe working conditions. Hence, a specific one-week long safety training was conducted for all the site workers as our major stakeholders in the community that we work in are our construction site labourers, we continuously strive to improve their working conditions, provide social security, and raise their standard of living.

The lack of basic medical amenities and access to healthcare is prevalent in several areas neighbouring our project sites. As a firm that believes in giving back to the society, in September last year, we launched a fully-equipped Mobile Medical Unit.

This medical van, manned by healthcare professionals, has been conducting free health camps at schools in Dapoli for children to receive necessary preventative and diagnostic care in a convenient and accessible setting.

Moreover, the Foundation has also been working in collaboration with local health centres and gram panchayats to conduct health camps and awareness sessions around nutrition for villagers living around the project sites.

The business of business should not be about money. It should be about responsibility. And, this is what we stand for at Lodha Ventures Foundation.
