LVF is providing free meals to over 140 site workers at Celebration Land, Neral

Creating a healthy work environment is The House of Abhinandan Lodha's prime belief. As a practice, the company strives to provide the best workspace for all its employees. So, HoABL, in collaboration with the Lodha Ventures Foundation, initiated the 'Atal Aahar Yojana' at several project sites in Neral.

The Atal Aahar Yojana is a scheme launched by the Government of India to provide affordable and hygienic food to the economically weaker sections of the society. Under this scheme, the government provides subsidised meals to senior citizens, construction workers, and other urban poor people at a nominal price.

Taking this into account, in the month of April, the project management and EHS team at Neral provided free meals to over 140 construction workers, contributing to the success of this ongoing initiative.

The objective of Atal Aahar Yojana is to ensure that nobody goes hungry and to improve the nutritional status of the poor and vulnerable sections of the society, which is also one of the core beliefs of LVF.

This initiative was started under the Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Cess Act 1996 (BOCW) that regulates the employment and working conditions of construction workers and to ensure their welfare.

Aside from this meal distribution, LVF has also been providing free healthcare facilities to the underprivileged rural communities near Dapoli, Maharashtra. To tackle the lack of basic medical amenities in the nearby communities, the Lodha Ventures Foundation launched a fully-equipped Mobile Medical Unit in September, 2022.

The van, manned by two medical staff and a support staff, tours 22 surrounding villages providing basic medical services to nearly 20,000 needy, while also working closely with local health centres and gram panchayats.

In fact, the Foundation has also launched a special educational programme namely 'Smart Class' for over 400 school students in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, with an aim to augment early developmental learning skills among school-going children from Grades 1 to 9.
