Embracing The Joy Of Giving

LVF organised donation drives and NGO pop-up stalls as part of the Joy of Giving Week

The greatest joy in all of giving is the joy that comes from freely giving. Following this belief, on the occassion of Diwali, the Sheetal Lodha -led Lodha Ventures Foundation celebrated the Joy Of Giving Week from November 1, 2023 to November 17, 2023 at various locations across the Lodha Ventures ecosystem offices in Lower Parel, Andheri, Thane, and Bengaluru.


The team undertook several activities including donation drives and pop-up stalls by NGOs to create a significant impact in the lives of the underserved.


Donation Drive


Members of the Lodha Ventures ecosystem companies, together, generously donated over 300 kg essentials, including clothing, groceries, and toiletries, to Missionaries of Charity Centres.

“Witnessing the compassionate employees donate essentials for the children with special needs warms my heart. These acts extend beyond kindness; they serve as beacons of hope, guiding us towards a brighter future. Together, we are making a profound impact on the lives of those who need it most, and I am truly grateful for the giving heart that defines the employees," said Sister Grace Martin, Social Worker, Missionaries of Charity Centres.

Furthering their commitment to giving back to the society, employees from all ecosystem brands, also donated a sum amount of Rs 37, 218, which will be used to purchase essentials in bulk for serving beneficiaries at the Missionary of Charity Centres.


Diwali Cause Bazaar


As part of the Joy of Giving Week, LVF also organised the Diwali Cause Bazaar at Lodha Excelus in Lower Parel, We Work in Andheri, and Bonito Designs in Thane.

For this activity, LVF identified and collaborated with over 12 NGOs and NFPOs actively involved in social causes such as women and child empowerment, skill education, rural employment, as well as care for senior citizens and the specially-abled. These NGOs put up stalls in the various office premises to sell the products made by their beneficiaries and sold handmade products worth Rs 1, 21, 969.

“Please accept our sincere thanks for the excellent support provided by you and your staff in organizing to put up an exhibition at your premises on November 3, 2023,” said Tessie Freddy, Social Worker, Suadha NGO.

The NGOs and NFPOs - All About Joy, Samruddhi Mahila Seva Sanstha, Creative Handicrafts, Pawanben (Individual), SVRR (Society for the Vocational Rehabilitation of the Retarded), A.K. Munshi, Sai Leela Foundation, Suadha NGO, Centre for Youth Development and Activities, Navjeevan Foundation, and Kshamata NGO - offered a variety of products, including cloth bags, name tags, folders, clothing, household utility items, Diwali decorations, faral (snacks), and much more.

“We are delighted to have been a part of the Joy of Giving (week). Knowing that our collaborative efforts played a crucial role in the success of such a meaningful initiative which brings us immense satisfaction. We look forward to the possibility of future donations or (to providing) any support that brings about positive changes," said Anand Alexander, Xanadu, Admin.
